The Fifth Chinese Zebrafish Principal Investigator Meeting was held on November 13-15, 2020, in Wuhan, China.
The meeting was aimed at gathering the global academic Zebrafish principal investigators together to discuss their cutting edge research.. On November 14, the opening ceremony was kicked off by former chairwoman of the International Zebrafish Society, Dr. Mary C. Mullins from the University of Pennsylvania. She shared her poster entitled “BMP Morphogen Gradient Formation and Interpretation.” Her research reports on the differential roles of BMP antagonists and two metalloproteases that modulate BMP activity in shaping the gradient in the zebrafish. To address their functions, Dr. Mullins and her team examined a direct readout of BMP signaling, nuclear phosphorylated Smad1/5 using a quantitative immunofluorescence assay.
During the two-day meeting, nearly one hundred principal investigators delivered lectures and shared their latest research.
HUABIO was on hand to guide researchers towards the best antibodies for their experiments. We have validated over one hundred antibodies for use in Zebrafish.
