Chitotriosidase/CHIT1 (22-466)His
Source
HEK293
Bio Activity
Testing in progress.
Purity
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin
Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4, 5% Trehalose, 5% mannitol.
Species
Human
Background
Degrades chitin, chitotriose and chitobiose. May participate in the defense against nematodes and other pathogens. Isoform 3 has no enzymatic activity. Very high plasma levels of CHIT1 are found in patients with Gaucher disease type 1 (GD I). Can be used as diagnostic aid and to evaluate the success of treatment that brings levels back to normal.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped with blue ice. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid which are shipped with dry ice.
Storage
Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃ It is recommended that aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
