Function
Converts UTP and GlcNAc-1-P into UDP-GlcNAc, and UTP and GalNAc-1-P into UDP-GalNAc. Isoform AGX1 has 2 to 3 times higher activity towards GalNAc-1-P, while isoform AGX2 has 8 times more activity towards GlcNAc-1-P.

Western blot analysis of UAP1 on different lysates with Mouse anti-UAP1 antibody (HA601660) at 1/4,000 dilution.
Lane 1: SK-Br-3 cell lysate
Lane 2: Jurkat cell lysate
Lane 3: NCI-H1299 cell lysate
Lysates/proteins at 20 µg/Lane.
Predicted band size: 59 kDa
Observed band size: 57/59 kDa
Exposure time: 1 minute 14 seconds;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA601660) at 1/4,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1006) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
