Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase, also known as ALOX5, 5-lipoxygenase, 5-LOX, or 5-LO, is a non-heme iron-containing enzyme (EC 1.13.11.34) that in humans is encoded by the ALOX5 gene. Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase is a member of the lipoxygenase family of enzymes. It transforms essential fatty acids (EFA) substrates into leukotrienes as well as a wide range of other biologically active products. ALOX5 is a current target for pharmaceutical intervention in a number of diseases.

Western blot analysis of 5 Lipoxygenase on different lysates with Rabbit anti-5 Lipoxygenase antibody (HA723968) at 1/5,000 dilution.
Lane 1: HL-60 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 2: K-562 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 3: Rat placenta tissue lysate (30 µg/Lane)
Predicted band size: 78 kDa
Observed band size: 75 kDa
Exposure time: 3 minutes; ECL: K1801;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA723968) at 1/5,000 dilution was used in primary antibody dilution (K1803) at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature. -
