Soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), a heterodimeric protein consisting of an alpha and a beta subunit, catalyzes the conversion of GTP to the second messenger cGMP and functions as the main receptor for nitric oxide and nitrovasodilator drugs. Mutations in this gene have been associated to cases of myocardial infarction.

Western blot analysis of Guanylyl Cyclase alpha 1 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-Guanylyl Cyclase alpha 1 antibody (HA722537) at 1/1,000 dilution.
Lane 1: HEK-293 cell lysate Lane 2: SH-SY5Y cell lysate
Lysates/proteins at 20 µg/Lane.
Predicted band size: 77 kDa Observed band size: 75 kDa
Exposure time: 59 seconds; ECL: K1802;
4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA722537) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
