Function
Intercellular adhesion molecule 3 (ICAM3) also known as CD50 (Cluster of Differentiation 50), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ICAM3 gene. The protein is constitutively expressed on the surface of leukocytes, which are also called white blood cells and are part of the immune system. ICAM3 mediates adhesion between cells by binding to specific integrin receptors. It plays an important role in the immune cell response through its facilitation of interactions between T cells and dendritic cells, which allows for T cell activation. ICAM3 also mediates the clearance of cells undergoing apoptosis by attracting and binding macrophages, a type of cell that breaks down infected or dying cells through a process known as phagocytosis, to apoptotic cells.

Wells of the plate were washed, blocked with 150 µl 0.2% tween-20 1% BSA blocking buffer, and incubated with serial diluted Recombinant Human ICAM3 protein (<a href="/products/HA211145" style="font-weight: bold;text-decoration: underline;">HA211145</a>) starting from 10,000 pg/ml to 0 pg/ml and detect antibody (<a href="/products/HA724168" style="font-weight: bold;text-decoration: underline;">HA724168</a>, Biotin, 0.2 µg/ml) for 1 hour at 30℃ with shaking. Then the plate was washed and incubated with 100 µl per well of SA-HRP for 0.5 hour at 30℃ with shaking. Detection was performed using an Ultra TMB Substrate for 10 minutes at room temperature in the dark. Elisa assay was performed by coating wells of a 96-well plate with 100 µl per well of capture antibody (HA724167) diluted in carbonate/bicarbonate buffer, at a concentration of 2 µg/mL overnight at 4℃.
