Function
This antimicrobial gene is part of a chemokine superfamily that encodes secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CXC subfamily, is expressed at sites of inflammation and may suppress hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. Produced by activated monocytes and neutrophils and expressed at sites of inflammation. Hematoregulatory chemokine, which, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. GRO-beta(5-73) is available under the name Garnocestim as immunomodulator. It is used prior to hematopoietic transplantation for peripheral blood stem cell mobilization and reduction of incidence, duration, and/or severity of chemotherapy induced cytopenias.

Wells of the plate were washed, blocked with 150 µl 0.05% tween-20 1% BSA blocking buffer, and incubated with serial diluted Recombinant Mouse CXCL2 protein (<a href="/products/HA211013" style="font-weight: bold;text-decoration: underline;">HA211013</a>) starting from 1000 pg/ml to 0 pg/ml and detect antibody (<a href="/products/HA725071" style="font-weight: bold;text-decoration: underline;">HA725071</a>, Biotin, 0.2 µg/ml) for 1 hour at 30℃ with shaking. Then the plate was washed and incubated with 100 µl per well of SA-HRP for 0.5 hour at 30℃ with shaking. Detection was performed using an Ultra TMB Substrate for 10 minutes at room temperature in the dark. Elisa assay was performed by coating wells of a 96-well plate with 100 µl per well of capture antibody (HA725070) diluted in carbonate/bicarbonate buffer, at a concentration of 2 µg/mL overnight at 4℃.
