This gene is a member of the myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (MLL) family and encodes a nuclear protein with an AT hook DNA-binding domain, a DHHC-type zinc finger, six PHD-type zinc fingers, a SET domain, a post-SET domain and a RING-type zinc finger. This protein is a member of the ASC-2/NCOA6 complex (ASCOM), which possesses histone methylation activity and is involved in transcriptional coactivation.

Western blot analysis of KMT2C / MLL3 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-KMT2C / MLL3 antibody (HA750781) at 1/1,000 dilution.
Lane 1: U-2 OS cell lysate (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 2: MCF7 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 3: HCT 116 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane)
Lane 4: Rat skeletal muscle tissue lysate (40 µg/Lane)

Exposure time: 1 minute 36 seconds;
3-8% SDS-PAGE gel.
Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (HA750781) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
