IL-33（白细胞介素-33）从物理损伤或坏死细胞中释放出来。它在炎症部位触发Th2偏向的免疫细胞活化以及调节性T细胞和M2巨噬细胞扩增。它还诱导血管生成，促进肿瘤细胞迁移和侵袭，限制心肌细胞肥大，并限制动脉粥样硬化斑块的发展。IL-33通过由ST2和IL-1 RAcP组成的受体复合物发出信号。IL-1 RAcP 还与 IL-1 RI、IL-1 RII、IL-1 R6 和 SCF R/c-kit 相关联。ST2和IL-1 RAcP的可溶性亚型作为调节IL-33生物活性的诱饵受体起作用。
